For my homeland, an upcoming book of poetry and prose, I have been envisioning to add Turkish proverbs and their application in life within the cultural context of my country of birth. So, here I am, sharing one that attracted my interest last night.
“Before you love, learn to run through snow without leaving footprints.”

This book has been long in the coming, dearest Jean-Jacques. There are three other manuscripts that I would like to proceed with. Trying to move all of them along at the same time . . . not the best of my ideas . . .
This proverb came to my attention last night – out of the blue. I have listened to its call, and was reminded that I should get back to work as far as my book projects. Alas!
