Poet Enis Akın Just Released!

Defter - Poesia Turca Contemporanea

I am happy to announce that the poet and translator Enis Akın has been released after three days of custody. Akın, together with about 90 people, has been kept in the police custody during the protests of last weekend, until his deposition of yesterday at the Çağlayan Court of Justice. Akın has so far published eight books among poetry and prose, and has translated the poetic works of Sylvia Plath into Turkish. Geçmiş olsun!
