“I felt in need of a great pilgrimage,
so I sat still for three days.“
~ Kabir
I am wholeheartedly hoping to achieve some silence from my self this summer (2018), while I will try my best to ‘sit still’. Not “for three days” . . . that is certain when I am concerned. At least a few hours. Maybe . . .
How about you? Have you ever felt the need to not speak at all for a while? Or, just “sat still”? Please, tell me that doing so is possible! Even for someone like myself (chronic teacher’s disease . . .)
Yes 💗

‘Sitting still’ for one hour alone is still a challenge for me when my non-stop chattery mind is concerned . . .

I agree that it is a good goal. I have myself realised the value of sitting still recently, and I agree it is a tricky think to achieve. Lying down on the grass is a good place to do it, because there are fewer distractions. I do find that when I stop to do nothing I usually fall asleep, I don’t know if that counts?!

Dear Miranda of Violet’s Veg*n e-Comics, I welcome any thought on this matter, realizing that each of us may have a different angle through which we work it out. So, my response is nothing but: Whatever it takes each of us to arrive at our aware objective. With my thanks for stopping by with your comment and continued best wishes!
